Locanda Verde, chef Andrew Carmellini’s celebrated Italian restaurant, anchors the ground floor and remains one of downtown’s hardest reservations. Below and beyond it, the Japanese-inspired Shibui Spa centers on a lantern-lit indoor pool, a 1,000-square-foot fitness center, and five treatment rooms, while a private, leafy courtyard gives guests a residential retreat that feels miles from Manhattan traffic. The hotel is a Leading Hotels of the World member and was named to Conde Nast Traveler’s Top 30 hotels in 2021. There is no dedicated kids club, and the intimate, design-forward atmosphere leans more toward couples and design lovers than family stays, though the Tribeca Penthouse can comfortably host a small family or group.
