Italy: Rocco Forte House, Milan
Eleven Apartments in Milan's Fashion Quarter
Set inside a historic palazzo on Via Manzoni, in the middle of Milan's Quadrilatero della Moda, Rocco Forte House trades the traditional hotel room for something more residential: eleven apartments, each with its own sitting room, dining room, full kitchen, and one or two bedrooms. Two apartments can be joined into a three-bedroom layout, a rare option in central Milan for families or groups traveling together.
Design director Olga Polizzi, working with Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen, kept many of the palazzo's original details intact, from moldings to frescoes to marble floors, then layered in a more contemporary, residential warmth. Guests have access to a dedicated chef, concierge and valet service, a private gym, and a quiet internal courtyard, all while stepping straight out onto Milan's most fashionable shopping street.
